Over the last decade, the economies of Eastern European Countries are mainly characterized by efforts to achieve EU membership. These efforts have brought about socio-economic reforms, accelerating considerably the modernization of these economies. As a result, most of emerging market sovereigns in Europe are rated investment grade. Poland and Montenegro were upgraded earlier this year, whereas in 2006 Kazakhstan and Bulgaria also received upgrades. Additionally, the meteoric rise of the Turkish and Russian equity markets in the second half of the year 2007 resulted in emerging Europe becoming the best performing emerging market region rising 81% for the year according to MSCI EM Europe index. On the other hand Greece has demonstrated commitment to EU standards and vigorous growth, alongside the convergence criteria. Consequently, the country’s economy continues to a pivotal role in the broad Balkan area. This overall progress has been priced in the stock market. Athex has averaged above 20% per year from 1997 to 2007. The Asset & Wealth Management services of Oxygen Capital are primarily focused in achieving wealth optimization for its Ultra High Net Worth clients in a Multi-Family Office environment. Recognizing that our clients have multiple banking relationships, we additionally provide bank statement consolidation, investment proposals filtering as well as global position risk assessment.
